Torrance Barrens and Coopers Falls

They said it would rain today,

So we said let's drive away from the rain,

And go hiking in the Muskoka region.

We drove to Hardy Lake only to find more than 30 cars in the parking lot and road

And a crowd of tourists.

(The last time we came here was 17 years ago, in 2009)

Then, ours was 1 of maybe 5 cars in the parking lot 😊

So today we decided not to hike Hardy Lake,

And we continued driving, till we came to Torrance Barrens.

Torrance Barrens is a conservation area and dark-sky preserve in Muskoka

Best part is, there are only two cars here in the parking lot!

So less people right now 😊

We plan to come here again some night to see the stars!

This is one of the best marked trails in Ontario.

The yellow markers on the trees, and the blue line on the rocks.

Then we drove to Cooper's Falls Trail
And hiked a bit there

12,386 steps for today!
