There's only one bird that can fly backwards, and upside down!
And every year, they visit us starting in the spring because we've planted a garden just for them,
and the monarch butterflies.
The amazing thing is before migrating south for the winter,
these tiny birds double their body weight.
They then undertake a non-stop 20-hour flight across the Gulf of Mexico,
traveling roughly 800 kilometres over open water without a single break.
