Oh, oh ... time to replace the right brake light bulb in the #Audi A3




Either the quality of the bulb ain't good or there must be some sort of electrical malfunction, because this is the second time I am replacing this bulb in the Audi A3 in five years. I've also  replaced the brake light bulbs in the Audi A4 



After you open the hatch, inside the car adjacent to the light you'll find a plastic cover which you can lift open with a small screwdriver



Using a small screwdriver gently loosen the plastic bolt that holds the brake light assembly to the body of the car, and then remove the bolt with your fingers




This time I'm going to replace the fused bulb with a GE bulb. Let's see how they perform in comparison to Sylvania 



 Gently slide the brake light assembly off the body of the car



Gently remove the black plastic bolts shown below ...  




                                   ... to separate the white portion of the assembly from the red 
                                                (Sorry the picture below is out of focus) 



That's the fused bulb 





Replace the bulb and put everything back in reverse order





Gently push the brake light assembly into the two circular slots on the body of the car without breaking anything
