Eugenia Falls to Hogg's Falls Hike

Today we drove 111 kilometres, and hiked between Eugenia Falls and Hogg's Falls

In the Grey Sauble Conservation Area 

The best part about the hike was,

In 4 hours of hiking (about  13.8 kilometres) we only met 3 people!! 

 Certainly one of the harder but satisfying hikes we have done recently

 

There are rain clouds heading our way! 

And we have promises to keep,

And miles to go before we sleep! 

And we got wet, and hiked in the rain for about an hour. 

More nests in the backyard

This year is amazing, all the birds are feeling very comfortable in the backyard

I made a small wire frame, and placed it where I thought it was safe for a robin

 

And a few days later, a robin started building it's nest over it.

So we moved the furniture away.

Love the way it is getting rid of the twigs I placed in the frame,

And using it's choice of twigs! 

 

And today there are now two eggs in it! (13th June 2025)

And we also saw two mourning doves scouting around for a place to build a nest

Mourning doves make the most flimsy nests, for whatever reason

This dove has been sitting on this nest for several days
