I was just sitting outside on the deck and listening to the goldfinches singing when I noticed this White-crowned Sparrow cracking up and eating sunflower seeds that had fallen from the bird feeder. I had to stay absolutely still, so I couldn't move away to avoid the legs of the deck table (which you can see in the lower right and left hand corners of the photograph)
