#Braising Beef and Brussels Sprouts

My first time cooking minced meat (they call it ground beef in North America 

These are the ingredients


Stir fry onions, add ginger, and garlic and when brown, add the meat


Add cinnamon, star anise, dried red chilly, salt, kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric and coriander powder


After several minutes, add a tomato and keep stirring 


While the meat is cooking ... wash Brussels sprouts ...


And chop in half as shown below for even cooking (sorry the picture is out of focus) I'm focused on the cooking 


Add the sprouts into the meat and mix well


Stir until the sprouts are just cooked. Do not overcook because overcooking will reduce the level of sulforaphane which has anti cancer properties

Also the sprouts look nice and green when just done
