#Cuisine #Cooking Shrimp with Coconut

This dish (like all other dishes) tastes best when made with the freshest ingredients.
You need fresh coconut, onions, garlic, ginger, green chillies, mustard seeds, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and a little salt and ... I almost forgot .... shrimp or prawns

Please don't attempt this step below unless you are adept at handling knives

Clean and set aside the shrimp

The secret of cooking lies not only in the ingredients, but how the ingredients are cooked

Cut the coconut into small wedges, and fry in a little oil till they are light brown and set aside

Chop the green chillies, onions, garlic and ginger

Heat a little oil, add some mustard seeds and when they begin to pop, add the onions and fry till they are light brown. Add the garlic, and ginger, and fry till they are also light brown, then add green chillies, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt and before the mixture begins to stick to the pan add the coconut and shrimp, and cook uncovered for a minute or two - please do not over cook!

The shrimp must be succulent

Enjoy your meal!
