A few years ago we did our second road trip to the Canadian Rockies.

One evening, we decided to go on a drive and a short hike in Kananaskis Country

In search of grizzlies!

 It was a gloomy day with grey skies

And I really wish I could find a place closer to the runway to take photos. 

This place is 4 kilometres away from where I'm standing!

Heron

 If you look carefully you'll see a heron in the centre of this photo.

It is quite far way

Zoom in ...

 

 

Walked towards the heron to have a closer look  

And it was looking at something in the water

I focused on the heron

And the heron focused on ...

 

 

And the heron caught its prey!

And all i caught were these photos of the heron

The heavy rain briefly stopped and two thirsty hummingbirds appeared

 

This is the second one 

Love how the hummingbird spills some nectar while in flight

I used the Canon 60D with a Sigma 150-600 lens

Goldfinches and a Nuthatch

Went for a walk to catch the sunset on the Credit River at Port Credit

 The evenings are getting cool

The Canada Geese are going home

 

 

 

 

TR6

The Triumph TR6 is a British sports car that was built between 1969 and 1976.

My friend lost his car and everything he had in a fire.

This is a painting i did for him in remembrance of his TR6
