#Money Whenever I am at the mercy of a #bank, #insurance company or #tax collector, I am reminded of Matthew 22:15-22

Then the Pharisees went out and laid plans to trap him in his words. They sent their disciples to him along with the Herodians. “Teacher,” they said, “we know that you are a man of integrity and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are. Tell us then, what is your opinion? Is it right to pay the imperial tax to Caesar or not?”
But Jesus, knowing their evil intent, said, “You hypocrites, why are you trying to trap me? Show me the coin used for paying the tax.” They brought him a denarius, and he asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?”
“Caesar’s,” they replied.
Then he said to them, So give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.
When they heard this, they were amazed. So they left him and went away - Matthew 22:15-22

#Leather Out there in those days, I couldn't find a jacket I liked, so I made my own ...

This is one of three leather jackets I've made so far ... (my friend who lives in the jungle owns one of them)

Notice the imperfect lines of the stitches on the inside

That's what happens when it's completely handmade ...

I used a needle (like the one cobblers use to repair shoes), some tough thread ...

For those of you guys in fast cars who have many a time asked me on the road - below is how I paint the letters

Cannot wait to put these on soon ...

This is my first painting in 7 months ...

Hardy Lake is in the Muskoka region and it's very scenic at this time of the year ...

Since the '70s the songs and music of Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull) and Gordon Lightfoot have been a source of inspiration for me while painting. Here is one of my favourite Gordon Lightfoot songs - Whispers of the North available on iTunes
